Douglas Unified School District debuted a new 87,502-square-foot addition to Douglas High School last Friday.

Herald/Review Sports Editor and Douglas reporter @Bruce Whetten reported that the $27 million project is scheduled to start construction in September, and is expected to be completed in 11 months.

DUSD’s chief financial and operations officer Cesar Soto said that 100% of the funding came from the school facilities board and is at no cost to taxpayers.
