I just finished writing a story about the frustration that the director of Cochise County's Health and Social Services department is having with folks who have double-booked their COVID-19 vaccine appointments. Once they get the first shot these people are not cancelling their second appointment. That leaves an allotted vaccine, but no arm to put it in, said Alicia Thompson.
A vaccine lasts only six hours. That means health providers have had to scramble to find other eligible individuals willing to drop everything and run over to get their shot in the arm so a vaccine does not go to waste.
Thompson is frustrated people are doing this and wants it to stop.
What do you think?
