How much vaccine did Sierra Vista get? And why can’t we schedule for the vaccine?

Where am I?

Hi Georgia,

I'm very sorry you haven't yet been able to schedule for the vaccine. You may dial 211 or visit https://podvaccine.azdhs.gov/27 to try but the system has been overloaded.

According AZDHS, Cochise County is still in Phase 1A (frontline healthcare workers and longterm care residents and staff) with 2,067 vaccines administered. That puts us at a vaccination rate above the state average and second-highest after Pima County, with 1,580 vaccines administered per 100,000 residents.

Per County Health Department director @Alicia Musgrave Thompson4, "the first shipment of vaccine that arrived in the county on Dec. 21 carried 3,000 doses. The next shipment had 1,100 coses and the third only 600." Check out the article by @Lyda Longa8 here.33

I hope this helps and I hope you are able to pre-register for the vaccine.
