Just a few games ago I spoke asked Colts coach Mike Tomooka about overcoming losses and focusing on the next game. “After a loss you’re concerned about resilience.” he said. And they'll need that resilience with a heavy schedule this week.

The Colts have a home game on Tuesday, April 12, against Tucson Desert View. Then travel to Tucson to play against Sunnyside on Thursday, April 14. On Friday, April 15, the travel to Marana to face the Tigers.

Buena Boys Varsity Volleyball defeats St. Augustine Catholic at home

Buena defeated St. Augustine Catholic in a home match played Friday, March 11. The Colts took all three games with scores of 25-21, 25-17, 25-14.

Although the St. Augustine Wolves remained within striking distance all night, they were unable to overcome the Colts. The Wolves drop to 2-3 overall this season.

Colts’ head coach John Edwards acknowledged his team, which is now 3-1 overall, had a timid start in the match. “We started off a little slow. We weren’t playing to our potential.”

“They were a little quiet. We had to methodically get them playing OUR game.” And the team responded, with a more focused finish to the match, taking the final game 25-14.
